The answer is simple … exposure to MULTIPLE SPORTS during their college years!
This really is not new information, however there have been some hard-hitting statistics that demonstrate an overwhelming number of the world’s top elite athletes played many varied sports growing up. The debate for sports pathways will continue for as long as sports exist. I think back to my college days and even fifteen years ago the friends or foes who made a career from sport were those who were great at swimming, athletics, gymnastics and were involved in all the college teams. And a lot of life experiences of athletes which can help you be motivated by streaming online on Sport ONE. Lots of professionals even practiced wrestling and other fighting sports, like Muay Thai, if you are interested in practicing this, make sure you wear the Best Muay Thai Shorts so you are comfortable while doing so.
In the recent NFL draft 30 out of 32 of the top players picked were multi-sport athletes in college. Basketball, Soccer, Tennis, Hockey and Athletics all follow suit with the bulk of ‘elite players’ exposed to multiple sports to create the athletic well rounded athletes we know and love today. The multi-sport program we have on campus is well underway and will continue to evolve and improve each and every term. It is my personal goal to have a multi-sport program that enables our students to embrace what it means to be identified as a young athlete, a program that creates confident young athletes who are not afraid to meet challenges head on, a program that ensures a lifelong passion for health and fitness!
Right now our multi-sport students will experience twenty new sports each year. They will be assessed and tracked each term to ensure progress is made and if not, investigate why. Australia is known as a ‘sporty’ nation, however still sits in the top five ‘obese nations of the world’. More students in the multi-sport program will also help combat this modern day issue.
