When life gets so busy it is very hard sometimes to take a break. One of my favourite “me times” has been the recent advent of our family garden at home. It took us a few months to get it all together, (yes, there is still some work to do), however, each morning after I get ready for the day I spend 10-15 minutes watering our small vegetable patch, feeding and watering the chickens (and collecting the eggs). It has become a daily routine and helps me prepare for the day. In our crazy world it is nice to just have something that simple to do for yourself.
One particularly bizarre and unusual sighting made on the weekend when gardening was a little visitor who had decided to hide under our table outside. My boys thought it was pretty cool to see a turtle in the wild!
