Next Tuesday 24 November, we will be having a Kindergarten gathering in the CCSC Cafe at 9:30am. This is a morning tea for our Kindy kids and their families and an opportunity to mingle prior to their first day of big college. Our Kindy teacher, who is coming from another Central Coast primary college, will be introduced to all the families on the day.
Our Kindergarten space, (which will eventually hold Year 1 and Year 2 as well), will be taking shape over the summer holidays. This area will not only house the Kindy classroom, but will also be a dynamic area of bushland, sandpits and climbing equipment.
Our Kindy academic program is NSW BOSTES approved and will include the key learning areas of english, mathematics, science and technology, PDHPE, HSIE, creative arts and up to 20 per cent of additional activities. The Kindy sport program will differ to our Year 3 – Year 12 sport program, as it will integrate physical literacy throughout the whole day and will include activities such as gymnastics, football, tennis and all the foundational movement patterns required to be successful in sport. With all these attributes, including a small staff to student ratio, our Kindy program is guaranteed to be a huge success and enrolments for 2016 are still being taken.
We look forward to seeing our Kindy kids together for the first time next Tuesday.
