It’s getting to that time in the term when our thoughts start to drift towards the holidays … and all the chocolate we’re going to be eating. The good news is – we’ll get that break soon enough. But the bad news is – switching off our brains too early won’t do us any favours in the long run. For all of our students, especially those in Stage 6, every moment counts. Maintaining a strong focus throughout the whole year, even at those times when we’re starting to burn out, will pay dividends. As we head toward the holidays, it’s a great opportunity to reflect upon what’s been covered during the term. Revising key concepts, creating study notes, and talking to your teachers about study techniques to prepare you for exams, (especially those of you staring down the barrel of the HSC), are some of the useful things you can be doing at the moment. Work hard, stay focused and before you know it you’ll have earned that chocolate…and those top marks to make it even sweeter.
