This week has been an extremely exciting week and I have been so proud of all that are involved in this college. From staff to students to parents. I have seen many parents giving endless hours to help clean, help in the cafe and just words of encouragement. I have seen staff cleaning toilets, vacuuming floors, washing windows and also providing quality teaching/coaching. I am so proud to be part of all of this. What an awesome day we had on Monday, being able to showcase what we are all about to some very high profile people.
Class 5 and 6 are beginning to settle into an extremely good rhythm which is the title of my Blog. How important is rhythm in our lives? Our bodies are made rhythmically and function in this matter. Our heart is a great example of this as it has a continuous rhythm through the day. Breathing is another example. So if our bodies are made rhythmically then surely our lives should have this key element in it as well. By using the word rhythm I don’t mean routine. Rhythm is a far gentler term that does give a bit of flexibility were routine is more of a fixed set of actions. This is what I am trying to create in our class where there is a regular rhythm that runs through and the children understand that. And as this rhythm is created we are able to achieve some exceptional learning. Children begin to feel comfortable and when they are comfortable they are free to achieve at their highest level.
