CCSC Sport
Kindergarten - Year 2
The CCSC K-2 sport program offers daily sport sessions to promote the development of physical literacy for students who enjoy sport. Sport sessions ensure students develop fundamental movement skills, improve fitness and learn about fair play while having fun with friends. The daily program exposes students to a variety of sports and includes an offsite sport each week where we access specialised spaces.
A typical yearly program across K-2 includes the following sports: football, tennis, rugby, netball, AFL, touch, OzTag, athletics, cricket, dancing, gymnastics, parkour, judo, swimming, Tball and outdoor education experiences. Our program supports individual development to foster confidence. From body and spatial awareness to small group games, game play and tactical awareness, the K-2 sports program provides a strong foundation of sporting skills to prepare students for transition to the elective sports program in Year 3.
I just wanted to say thank you for all your efforts in continuing to provide amazing sport sessions for Patrick (and the rest of K-2) - the Term 3 program sounds great, they are very lucky kids!

The CCSC Sport program prioritises the development of the whole athlete, giving students the opportunity to explore a range of sports and develop physical literacy and fundamental movement skills in a diverse range of challenging environments.
The Junior Sport program is broken into elective, rotation and recreation sessions. In our elective sports sessions, we dive deeper into students’ selected sports. These sports align with our Academy Sports of football, rugby league/union, tennis and netball. In these programs our student athletes are introduced to foundation techniques, skills and game understanding concepts. Our rotation and recreation sport sessions are where students get variety and have many opportunities to sample various sports. They develop a range of movement skills and patterns in challenging and changing environments.
The Senior Sport program follows a similar goal of providing variety, maximising participation and creating environments that allow our student athletes to explore, problem solve and build a range of movement skills, and is guided by sporting themes which link to activities undertaken each term.
Student athletes choose from the following focused programs:
Multi-sport Program - Includes a variety of sports eg gymnastics, martial arts, football, tennis, netball, swimming, dance, cricket, AFL and more. As students move through the college and decide on a particular sport to pursue at higher levels, we discuss their aspirations and design an individual program to support them.
Football, Tennis, Netball, Rugby League and Rugby Union programs - As students move through the college and decide on a particular sport to pursue at higher levels, we discuss their aspirations and design an individual program to support them. Students who participate in a focused program also participate in a variety of other sports that support their development as young athletes.
Health and Well-being
CCSC focuses on the complete picture rather than on isolated parts. Athletes participate in various disciplines such as yoga and are educated about the importance of recovery, sleep, nutrition, psychology and mindset – all elements that are pivotal to sporting excellence and peak performance. Nutritional advice for maximum performance is complemented by the CCSC cafe, ensuring a selection of healthy food is available for our athletes with fresh fruit, crunchy salads and vegetables, dairy options, a protein food, grains and water all provided each day.
