Every year is a fantastic year at CCSC with so many students developing their life skills.
My eldest son Jake graduates this year and with only three days of his actual day to day college life left, we have been reflecting on what he has achieved, the friends he has made, the amazing people he has come in contact with and we’ve also been discussing what future path he will take. Jules and I can’t help but feel a tear or two well in our eyes at the thought of our little boy graduating CCSC and spreading his wings into the wide world beyond.
An extension to Jake graduating, is the other students who have enjoyed the year and the journey with him. There are so many personal success stories from the group that it will be a lengthy blog if I mention them all. I would like though, if any students read these blogs, to let them know that it is an honour to have met them during their student athlete journey at CCSC. It is a pleasure to see them on campus and exchange a “high five”, a friendly hello, a discussion about their training day and a chat about how they have performed on the weekend in their games.
Understand you are doing yourselves, your families and all of us at CCSC proud. You have accomplished a Kanga Cup Championship win, a Central Coast Football 18 and Under Men’s Championship win, an HSC, a Sports Coaching Course, friendships to last a lifetime and a complete understanding of what it means to deliver the “best you can be” at all times.
Congratulations to all of you on what you have achieved so far and what you are all capable of achieving in the future.
It’s time for you to lead. It’s time for you to discover. It’s time for you to explore. It’s time for you to create your own adventure. It’s time to enjoy what you have accomplished at CCSC.
I look forward to seeing you all in the future.
