Hello to everyone reading this blog and thank you for taking the time to do so. Firstly, I would like to introduce myself, my name is Nathan Ralph and I have come on board this year with CCSC as a part-time football coach. I am currently coaching the U13’s and U14’s who are not playing for the IFS FC team on the weekend. I was involved with CCSC last year at Kanga Cup, where I coached an U10’s team for the week.
It is fair to say my life revolves around football, I am the owner of a business called AirX Teamwear, which focusses on providing custom teamwear and apparel to football clubs around the country. I founded a charity organisation called International Football Exchange (the similarity in name to IFS turned out to be a big coincidence) close to two years ago, the purpose of which is to give a second life to pre-loved football boots and apparel by collecting and distributing them to organisations working with disadvantaged children and youth around the world. To date we have donated over 6500 items to various places including Thailand, Cambodia, Liberia, Kenya and PNG. CCSC has been involved in supporting my charity by donating apparel and football gear on several occasions, which I am very grateful for.
My love of football continues on the pitch, where I am currently playing at the NPL2 level in Sydney for Mount Druitt Town Rangers. I have been playing football all my life, and although I never made it to the top level I continue to strive to be the best player I can and get the most out of playing while time allows.
Coaching at CCSC allows me to share my passion and experience of the game with young players, helping them to understand football and hopefully embedding a love for the game which will remain for a long time to come.
As we head into Week 6, it is safe to say I am thoroughly enjoying my role at CCSC and I look forward to the year ahead!
