We staff are very proud of our record in the tennis and football games against the students and we intend to win both the events again! First, the tennis games will be played at the Gosford Tennis Centre, where several staff will get tested against some of the young and talented tennis kids from the CCSC.
Myself, Gavin Thomas, Greg Brownlow and maybe even Paul Chapman, plus many more, will try to repeat the win against the tennis talents, like we did last year. The event will probably start between 9.30am and 10am so if you are interested in being part of this great celebration event, you are more than welcome to join us at the Tennis Centre. Your kids will need all the support they can get against the ferocious staff as we will be eager to win again and will use all the tricks in the book to succeed.
Around midday, we will then play an 11v11 football game on the main field at our college. There, the oldest students along with some younger players will try and win a game against a staff football team, who will be led by Daniel Barrett, whose selection criteria increased this year. We will test ourselves against young, fit and talented football players and like last year, will try and win the trophy again.
In my opinion, the game won’t be as close as last year, as I’m very confident that we will win by at least 3 goals or more. Parents, please join us and see some of the best “former” professionals play at Mount Penang. Names like Damien Brown, Daniel McBreen, Adam Kwasnik, Joey Peters, Andre Gumprecht and young up-and-coming coaches like Tim Witchard, Joey Arena, Blake Gates and Jarrod Penfold will be there to put on a show-stopping performance.
Please do not hesitate to come and watch some of the tennis and football coaches in action – all that, absolutely free of charge!
Hope to see you there on December 14, 2016.
