Stage 2 have been very hard at work this term with all students participating in the construction of an edible garden and adventure playground for the college. The students have been able to develop their skills in resilience, patience and teamwork whilst putting the garden beds together, planting flowers and vegetables, and clearing space for a fun playground area. They have done an amazing job so far and are very proud of the new space they are creating for the whole college to benefit from.
It has been really awesome to see the kids taking ownership over the space and developing a growing interest in the plant and animal life they have come across during the project. They have loved discovering lots of different wildlife including bower birds, frogs, spiders, centipedes and ants. Their efforts have made them very worthy of being featured in the Project Room in the office for this month and they were so excited to hear that they were the project “winners” for November.
