Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it’s off to work we go…
It’s certainly been a hectic 2016 here at CCSC and with Term 4 now in full swing I can’t help but notice that a number of students are beginning to feel the strain of the summer heat, along with the effects of a fairly exhausting year. As we complete our 36th week at college, some students are bearing a resemblance to the Seven Dwarfs.
Day to Day I’m meeting them:
We have Sneezy. The hay fever sufferer who is constantly a target of the winds and the grasses around the place at this time of year, even more so of late due to the pitches growing quickly and needing constant mowing.
Then there is Grumpy, who although loveable, just wants to have some time off. He’s done with all this work, work, work and wants a holiday.
Hello Sleepy. Why is he so tired? Daylight saving can play havoc with a good nights sleep. Getting up too early can be a disaster for concentration later in the day and ruin a zest for learning. This guy needs to go to bed earlier.
Not forgetting Dopey, who is also around. With so much sun beating down on us recently, it’s easy to become hot, lethargic and unmotivated. Make sure you drink plenty of water to feel on top of your game.
Sound familiar? This term can be tough, coping with the heat along with sporting commitments inside and out of college can be challenging. The weather of late, whilst awesome for the beach, can be punishing for our students during training. So, to make the most of Term 4 and enjoy the rest of the year with a positive vibe, don’t be Bashful, the Doc reminds you to get more ‘rest’ and surely you’ll be Happy all the way through to the holidays.
