This term has been challenging in terms of group changes for players and the social side of their training. That said, in the past two weeks there has been a noticeable improvement in their football and their attitude to training.
Group changes this term have challenged some players in terms of ability but I have noticed the dynamic skill levels in the groups have improved and so too, the development of the players. Not only physically but mentally; the kids with lesser skill levels have learned that they can play at a higher level if they just try their best against the best in their individual groups. This has resulted in a major improvement in the skill levels of these players.
Even though it’s last term and players are ready for holidays I am seeing a high level of effort. During training sessions I find that once a session outcome has been achieved players are getting lost in the football which of course is a good thing as it shows passion for the game is alive.
If the effort continues it will be a promising sign for continuing development.
