The CCSC Tennis Tour to Japan is amazing so far. We have played loads of tennis against juniors from different Tokyo academies, Chuo University Tennis Team players and a player who has just been picked for the Japan Davis Cup Team.
Our temple tour was full of wonders including carved monsters to keep spirits out, a room full of treasure, a gold leaf temple building and the chance to meet one of the monks.
Tokyo Disney was sensational. Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain were the pick of the roller coasters, while the electric light parade was out of this world. Micky Mouse did not disappoint.
The train rides have been a crazy adventure with the hustle and bustle of the local commuters providing an experience for our students that will last a lifetime. Aussie transport doesn’t seem so bad after all.
Visiting one of Japan’s biggest outlet malls was a real treat for the players with Nike, Adidas, Under Armour and Puma living up to expectations.
Tonight we were invited by the Master Sumo Director of Chuo University to watch the Sumo wrestlers train. This was a fantastic surprise as people are not usually allowed to watch these training sessions. Big fellas with enormous strength and power.
A lifetime of memories for our ITS students and an honour for our coaching staff to be with such a wonderful group of young people.
Well done to all!
