The 2015 academic year is in its final five weeks and you would expect that we are starting to slow the pace and wind down. Not at IFS. Last week we welcomed the old Year 11 students back from their exams and they joined the new Year 11’s at the Stage 6 camp. We had three days of challenging activities that tested our skill and nerves. Despite the constant rain we all had an excellent time and I am happy to say that all of my group members participated in every activity without the slightest moan. They were all supportive of each other and encouraging; they even got me on the giant swing. Thanks to Sarah for not giving me a viable option to back out, all of my group demonstrating that they are trustworthy and respectful of other people’s fears. I even had another go!
Today, five weeks until the Christmas break, is the beginning of a journey for Stage 6. Today they began their first lesson in their HSC course. The class will be studying English, PDHPE and Biology or TAFE for the next four terms. I am very happy to be back working with the Stage 6 students. I am looking forward to working with Gavin, team teaching PDHPE to the class. Slowing down in Term 4 week five? Not at IFS!
