I thought about just posting this photo by itself and leaving it here for people to ponder their own thoughts. Then I thought I’d just pop mine down.
I don’t have kids but I’d say I’ll have just as much of a struggle as most when I become a parent and my kids are playing or training for their chosen sport. That struggle being – to trust in your child’s coach, that they have your little Johnny’s best interests at heart and know best when it comes to enhancing their development and potential. Communication is the key here. If you feel your child’s best interests are not being considered, you must communicate with the coach and give them a chance to justify and explain any decisions that may have been made. But as you can see by the picture, if arguably the best tennis player to ever play the game, Roger Federer, can trust someone else to coach his own children then I’m sure I’ll have no problem getting my head around it.
