Our IFS football squads have started their local club games in earnest as we continue with the refinement of our football development program. It has prompted people to ask questions, including, “Is IFS a college, is it a football club, what exactly is it?” People are looking for a pigeon hole to put us in but there isn’t one.
This question in particular makes me realise just how innovative the CCSC college is. Being innovative means doing things differently or doing things that have never been done before. Challenging the status quo, pushing boundaries and achieving growth.
Is it working? Yes is the answer. Even though it’s early stages, we are all pleased with where the football development program is heading and will monitor and make refinements, as always, as they are required.
And it’s not just the football program where the innovation has taken place. The project based learning education offered at the college is now being adopted by Finland, the country that has for years been the byword for a successful education system. Finland too has recognised the need for a rethinking of education and a redesigning of the system, as it prepares children for the future.

Where would CCSC be though if it weren’t for our ‘early adopters’? Typically described as curious, adventurous consumers whose creativity is aroused by a sense of groundbreaking, cutting-edge innovation. Not content with pseudo inventiveness, early adopters recognise transformational ingenuity and have the foresight and courage to adopt ‘the product’.
Combine the original ‘product’ of CCSC and the intrepid nature of the ‘early adopter’ parents and we have developed an education/life learning system that defies any attempt at pigeon-holing.
