I was privileged to spend three months in Brazil and play for the great Pele’s club, Santos. After reflecting on my career, I look on my time in Brazil as the greatest experience.
The best part was soaking up the football culture. Everyone, everywhere was talking or playing football. I developed an even deeper love for the game.
Now, as I experience IFS everyday, I feel that same culture. Talking and playing football any chance, anywhere during the day, our love of football is growing.
It all starts in the mornings. Kids coming early to college can play football on the tennis courts in what we call “Bom dia”. It means “Good morning” in Portuguese. No bibs, no outs, no chosen teams, just a football and two goals. Get the ball and do your thing. It’s awesome to see a love for football growing in it’s purest sense. The Brazilian way is now the Aussie way at IFS.
Bom dia!
