Hi Everyone,
As we draw to the close of our second year, it has certainly been a busy time for our IFS family! I am continually impressed with the dedication shown by our staff and students collectively and I am very proud of what we have all created in this new education and sport community.
The past few months have brought new challenges which, at the same time, have presented unexpected opportunities. One of these was the news regarding Gosford Tennis Centre. Greg Brownlow and his team have done a fantastic job giving the clubhouse a major facelift and introducing a whole new range of programs to benefit not only our students, but the community at large. It is so rewarding to seeing people of all ages actively involved in sport and I have been lucky enough to witness this whenever I have dropped into the Tennis Centre over the past few weeks.
Our mission at IFS is to create a sense of community in all that we do. If you haven’t visited the Gosford Tennis Centre as yet, please drop by and check out the new additions. You’ll even find some great retro entertainment waiting to be played – an Indiana Jones pinball machine and an arcade machine loaded with my personal favourite 1942 and Greg’s pick, Frogger!
I look forward to the last few weeks of this college year as we prepare for more renovations over the summer break. Work has already begun on our new science lab, the carpet layers for building 21 (year 7 and 8) are booked and we will be moving into our new building 39 which will house years 9 and 10 in 2015.
You’ll seen more enhancements to our physical space over the coming months and we look forward to continuing to work with your children as this year finishes and a new year begins in 2015!
