Ingredient in the Spotlight: Strawberries
With more antioxidant punch than most other fruits, berries in general strengthen tissue defences against oxidation and inflammation, which are underlying factors in most age-related diseases.
Eight strawberries provides approximately 140 percent of the daily recommended allowance of vitamin C, 12 percent of our fibre, 6 percent of folate, 210mg of potassium and are also high in vitamins K, B2, B5, B6, copper, magnesium and omega-fatty acids.
All of the above assist skin repair from the damage caused by environmental factors like pollution and UV rays, and helps with fewer wrinkles and less dryness.

Awesome menu guys, Lucky boys to have this college and this menu and of course you 2 Chefs.
We are really into Organic foods mainly fruit and veges, with so many local farmers around the coast do you think it would be possible to go Organic, it us such a plus and will be even more so next year and the year after and so on.
Also a little Herb garden that the children could be involved in. You have all that wonderful land and Chemical free is the future.

Rid Griffiths
P.s you do a great black coffee
Ashley van Kints says
Hi Rid,
Thanks for the kind comments.
We purchase from the entrance farmers market every fortnight and try to use other local suppliers when possible, like our coffee which is roasted locally.
In regards to the herb garden it’s difficult due to the public having access to our site 24/7
Cheers Chef Ash

Could you clarify? Is morning tea no longer available? The beginning of term newsletter didn’t actually say it was discontinued but intimated it by saying that the kids needed to take snacks now
Chef Ash says
Hi Brett,
It is true, morning tea is no longer available. Management made the decision due to a number of factors.
As of this week we have a pop up shop at lunch time with a few different options ranging from $1.00 to $3.00. This will also be communicated in this weeks newsletter.
Cheers Chef Ash
