With the opening night of the Stage 3 play fast approaching, we thought it would be a wonderful experience to take our class to see a play. So this week we went to the Seymour Centre in Sydney to see The 26 Story Treehouse. The play is based on the book by the same name written by Andy Griffiths, which each student read in class before we went. Andy Griffiths is a wonderful author, and he has a special talent for writing books that appeal to children, especially boys. It was a great play to see and a fantastic day out in sunny Sydney. The behaviour of all the students was commendable, Shane and I were very proud of them all. What made the day even more special was when one of our year 5 students said to me, “thank you for bringing us to see the play”. When I told Shane what this student said, he told me the student had said the same to him. To that student, and all the others, I would like to say, you are most welcome. Your behaviour was excellent I would take you all anywhere.
On another note I can’t wait to see everyone at our play next week…it’s going to be a fantastic couple of nights.
