I have to say that I’m enjoying the colder mornings, as this means the snow must be on the way soon. I’m a keen snow boarder.
Another great thing about cold mornings is enjoying a nice hot coffee, tea, chai or chocolate. Any parent who is dropping off their children in the morning and who would like a coffee, please pop down to the cafe and grab one for the small cost of $3.50.
Last fortnight’s meals in the café:
Monday – Penne boscaiola with garden salad. A few brave people even tried the escargot in olive oil, lemon and parsley
Tuesday – BBQ pork loin with fried rice. Buffet salad of baby spinach, Spanish onion and beans.
Wednesday – Beef nachos with all the trimmings (not like last time when it was allergy week).
Thursday – Lamb griller, potato mash, pea braise and gluten free rosemary gravy.
Friday – Beef sausage sandwiches with almost every side ingredient you could think of.
Monday – San choy bow with rice noodles, vegetables and iceburg lettuce.
Tuesday – Roasted chicken drumsticks with bean and leek braise and gravy. Cous cous salad of coriander and lemon.
Wednesday – Vegetable stir fry with hokkien noddles and a pear roquette haloumi salad.
Thursday – Mild coconut curry beef with steamed rice and a pickled onion tomato salad.
Friday – Wraps with a mixture of meats and salad
Ingredient in the Spotlight: EGGS
Eggs are the superhero of superfoods, with the highest nutritional quality protein of all food sources. Eggs also contain eleven different minerals and vitamins including vitamin A and folate. Eggs are an exceptional source of vitamin B12 which is vital for healthy red blood cells. The yolks are chock full of choline a key nutrient for recall. Your body needs choline to make a brain chemical called acetylcholine, crucial for storing memories.

Hi Ash,
Thanks for keeping us updated. The menu looks fabulous! Lance was especially excited to get nachos at college.
