Recently stage 4 students embarked on their first Geography field trip to Terrigal.
On a glorious sunny day, the students were provided with a project booklet which they then had two hours to complete. In this project were a series of thought-provoking questions asking why certain areas such as The Skillion and The Haven at Terrigal are shaped the way they are and what coastal processes occur daily to erode the landforms.
All students were enthusiastic and well behaved throughout the day.
The focus of the excursion was for students to get a hands-on approach when studying coastal erosion, with the end product being a short iMovie documentary that explained the coastal processes occurring.
