My name is Danny Abboud. The best part of my football coaching career is when I receive a call or email negotiating a new coaching position or new footballing challenge. I am extremely excited about the fantastic opportunity to meet and work with IFS students, coaches, teachers and colleagues in my new role as an IFS coach.
I think the profession of football coaching is under-rated. During my 30 years involvement in football, I have had an exciting journey filled with passion and desire to develop successful players.
I have extensive experience in player development and football education from grassroots level to A-League, including many overseas coaching experiences. My coaching qualifications include AFC/FFA A License, FFA/Football New South Wales Coach Educator/Assessor, FFA/NSWIS Player Development and Scouting Program and FFA/Football NSW Elite Player Development Program. I have studied Health and Movement in Sport at ACPE College and Sports Psychology at UWS Westmead. I have been Head Coach in the NSW National and Premier League Competition and Football NSW and a Regional League Assessor. Overseas I have attended coaching conferences at Everton FC and Liverpool FC (UK) and studied Technical and Tactical Awareness at the German Football School of Studies.
During my short visits to the IFS campus late last year I felt a great sense of welcome, urgency and passion being shared and presented. I really feel this is the place for me, as I contribute towards this professional initiative, culture and the football program.
I am looking forward to embracing the challenge of this new role, sharing my football knowledge and enhancing the IFS Football Program during 2014 and beyond as we all strive for success in football, collegeing and life.
Yours in football,
Danny Abboud

I knew you had experience in the football world but I didn’t know you had that much. I will do my best to learn as much as I can from you.
