This week, Andre and I have set our most junior training squad a CHALLENGE. The challenge was to prepare themselves better for training and more specifically, for training at this time of year.
Diet was first on the agenda, especially after two players were spotted on Sunday evening setting their own challenge (pictured below). Players must realise that dinner, the night before a morning session, is just as important as a good breakfast. Also, don’t forget, Andre loves bananas for breakfast.
Secondly, players must come to training hydrated. Take it from this guy below, he has plenty of experience in hot weather. Remember, each player must drink two bottles of water before arriving at training. This should not takes place as you are getting off the bus (sip not scull).
Thirdly, yes, with all this water intake, you will need to go to the bathroom, so please do so prior to training. Otherwise, we will give you a real challenge!
These are the very basics you must do to be a professional footballer. Give your body every chance to perform at the highest level. Do not rely on others, just challenge yourself!
