I’ve been at the AIS again for the FFA A Licence part B coaching course. It included a football conditioning component led by genius educator Raymond Verheijen. He is the master of periodisation and developed the perfect football conditioning model, which actually became the sub topic of the four days for us hundred-odd coaches.
The real gold was in his Football Thinking education. Challenging, provoking and stimulating our learning as individuals and confronting any claims of being football ‘experts’. His aim was to improve us as coaches by creating a winning environment where we were lifted from our slumber and partiality into a whole new stratosphere of philosophy and professionalism that will be the catalyst to produce world class coaches in this country. Will we rise to his challenge and raise the bar for ourselves and fellow peers? We must.

Yes, we must!
