Our study of Ancient Egypt has drawn to a close with a look at mummies and how they were prepared by the Egyptians. The children found it interesting, but at times also a bit gruesome. So I decided that perhaps they needed to be mummified. Don’t worry I didn’t pull their brains out through their noses or anything. We got some toilet paper rolls and had some fun creating our own mummies – as you can see from the pictures below.
We are about to begin a unit on botany. If anyone out there has some interesting plants or flowers perhaps you could send them in next week so we can start to look at them under the microscope. First up we will look into fungi and then mosses and then onto plants. This should tie in nicely with us working on our indigenous garden at the Mt Penang Gardens.
