For some children, especially those new to the college, it is sometimes hard to adjust to a new diet but hopefully it won’t take long for them all to be enjoying the food we serve. Adjusting to fresh vegetables and fruit can be a challenge but it is the food of champions, and if you’re planning on becoming one, you’re never too young to begin eating healthily.
What we put into our bodies in terms of healthy food we get out in energy and wellbeing. We fight colds more easily, we can train harder and think more clearly too. Fresh food doesn’t just give you energy, it helps stimulate your senses, it heightens your sense of smell and triggers endorphins in your brain to react quicker, to outthink your opponent faster and play a better game. Research proves that if you eat fresh food your body benefits in every thinkable way. You’ll live longer and fight illness, you’ll heal from injuries quicker and respond to others more positively too.
In the forthcoming weeks we will continue to teach the children all these things from our cookbook, and hopefully mum or dad might try and make a few things at home too.
Happy and healthy eating, Matt
