New kitchen staff. And pancakes.
We in the kitchen would like to welcome Kane, who joins us on a casual basis. He will be learning about how we make food, helping clean down and preparing the food too.
Pancakes have been a popular addition to the morning break receiving great feedback from the children. We’ll try and make them on the days when the lunch meal is a wrap or filled rolls to vary the meals. The pancakes are wholemeal and white flour mixed so they are still healthy and served with a fruit salad, yoghurt and honey………mmmmmm yummy.
Its been a great start to the term so far with the children being encouraged to pick their own salads and being served some warm and healthy meals too.
Class 5 and 6 made cakes today which went down well and hopefully they will be making bread soon too. Some even stayed back and helped make basil oil and a honey and soy dressing for the noodles which we served for lunch, well done boys.
Remember what we put into our bodies, in the way of food, we get out in fitness and training and the fresher the food the better the body.
Happy eating, Matt and Kane
