Three weeks of college holidays have flown past mostly due to having spent time in Australia with my dad who took his first ever flight at the age of 65! We had not seen him for almost 3 years so it was a really special to have him here and enjoy his grandsons. Trying to squeeze in as much as we could in the time he was here. He left with a deep appreciation and understanding of our choice to live in Australia.
So the first week of term two has past and its like we have never left! We have welcomed many new students in to the high college and they are fast learning our way of working.
This term we have some exciting projects that will run throughout the term with a focus on indigenous communities. We start with History and the students are working to complete the tasks. It is really important that the students begin to take more ownership for their learning in terms of breaking the work down into manageable daily tasks. This will ensure that they remain focused on the tasks and complete all the work set on time.
Looking forward to another great term at IFS.
