We have introduced a process at IFS where our injured players are given a mental task during training sessions so that no time is wasted. If you can’t train physically, you can still train the mental aspect. I asked one of our students this week to write down what he thought it took to become a professional footballer. This was his response;
“To become a professional footballer you have to be focussed, determined and dedicated to the game. You have to spend hours of your time training and preparing for games and to improve your skills to be the best you can be.
It doesn’t matter if you’re good or bad. It matters that you believe in yourself, then nothing or no one can stop you.”
Cant say I disagree with him…
