My main interests encompass a wide range of sporting activities that range from skiing to rock climbing, it is football however that is my real sporting passion.
As soon as I read an article describing the plans and concept behind opening a football specific college I had to be involved and was determined to prove myself as a valid member of staff!
As a PDHPE high college teacher who loves the ‘the world game,’ Central Coast Sports College was a dream concept for me which combined my perfect job with a sport I’m fanatical about!
I contacted Paul Chapman and soon found myself as a coach with IFS. After the very first session ended and a brief chat with the Paul and Julie I felt like this is where I belonged. I feel privileged and proud to be a member of IFS and am extremely motivated to help this college become the number one football college in the southern hemisphere. We all have great expectations for the future and I personally believe that we are creating a college that will be used as a shining example to others. The team has grown in strength and strong relationships have been formed; as we all wash, wipe, sweat and stress together in preparation for the opening day there is a genuine staff bond being developed which is essential for the success of IFS, I feel supported in my role as a teacher and am confident to express my ideas and opinions knowing they will be listened to. The PBL approach is new to me but I’m confident that with practice comes perfection and with the high caliber of students and staff we are on the cusp of creating a successful and dynamic learning environment that enables students to express themselves whilst preparing them for a successful life in the real world.
I am well aware that we will encounter various hurdles within term one and throughout our debut year, but with the determination and supportive culture already developed at IFS we are going to strive through any adversity together as one team!!
