By building these skills early, we empower student athletes to stay active for life, enjoy sport at any level, and reach their full potential.
Implementation process for CCSC’s Strength and Conditioning
Athletic Screenings: CCSC conducts athletic screenings for student athletes in years 7-12. These screenings assess key areas crucial for injury prevention.
Tailored Support: The results of these screenings enable tailored support based on each student athleteโs developmental stage within the FTEM framework. This includes implementing prehabilitation (prehab) activations daily and addressing individual needs through targeted interventions designed to enhance performance and reduce injury risk.
Senior College Strength Testing: This testing process demonstrates the studentsโ commitment to excellence in academics and athletics, aligning with the Mastery stage of the FTEM framework.
LTAD Overview: CCSC considers the physical, mental, technical, and tactical aspects of training and competition over the long term. Our approach is about gradual progression, proper recovery, and overall wellbeing of our student athletes.
Commitment to Health and Safety: CCSC values the relationship with parents and carers and our physios in promoting the health, safety, and success of student athletes. Coaches communicate with parents and carers to provide updates related to the athletic screenings, training programs, and the progression of student athletes within the FTEM and LTAD frameworks.
