Stages 2 and 3 have had some exciting new additions to their bookcases over the past few weeks with many new books piling into the classrooms. Our goal is to provide students with books that are of great interest to them while ensuring they are challenged and have opportunities to improve their reading skills. Our students (and our teachers) are really enjoying coming into the classroom and seeing the bookshelves starting to fill up with colourful, exciting books with great stories.
Here are some thoughts from our Stage 2 & 3 students:

“ I like how we get to relax for 10-minutes and just read, calm down and get ready for our learning.” – Tommy
“I’m excited because we get to discover new series of books that I haven’t seen before.”

“There are so many different books to choose from and they look really interesting.”- Riley
“When I come in I’m really excited to come into English class so I can get into my book. I really want to finish it so that I can start the next one. I really like the Dog Man books because they’re really funny.” Claire
“I’m excited to read my book because it is about my favourite sport, Rugby, and I’m learning new stuff about it.” -Gabe
“I’m excited about my book because it is about a person in a college who is a nerd and all the really cool people are playing soccer and he wants to become a footballer.” – Jack
“I like my book because it is interesting and I really want to read more of it.” – Freddie
“I’m learning new words that I don’t already know. Tiny Timmy is about my favourite sport and I really like it because it’s about the world cup.” – TJ Walsh
