What a privilege it is for me to work across the K – 6 primary classes and fulfil my passion of supporting young people as they develop a lifelong love of learning.
Each day I spend time in classrooms with all primary groups and get to be a part of Maths, English and Projects sessions. I believe pictures speak a thousand words so enjoy some of the photos I have taken over the past few weeks.
Our Kinder Incredibles have done an amazing job settling into ‘big college’, the CCSC classroom and Multi-Sport program.
When I walk into the Kindy space it is evident just how much learning, laughter and love there is amongst the group and how engaging and exciting each and every day is.
Stage 1 morning maths sessions have been a buzz of excitement and the students have been engaged in a variety of games and activities covering topics such as addition and subtraction, patterns, place value and skip counting. Students have the opportunity for whole class, small group and individual learning experiences, making maths engaging and exciting.
Stage 2 have covered project sessions that began with Relationships and moved on to Stage Trademarks and Agreed Behaviours in a collaborative process.
We looked at Bike and Road Safety, which I must say challenged my scooter-riding skills, yet was a great practical experience enjoyed by all students.
The science project had Stage 2 predicting, reasoning and observing through a variety of experiments and applying a hands-on approach to learning about Movement and Forces while designing and constructing a marble run, in small groups.
Comparing vegetation, animals and the climates of Australia and Nepal is the current Stage 2 Geography project.
