Six months ago when I became a full-time head coach at CCSC I was really impressed with the set-up, coaches, teachers, staff and students. I believe the college as a whole right now is heading on a sharp incline and with that comes high expectations.
Although still very much in its infancy the establishment itself has all the ingredients to become a world-class facility. Fast forward to its current status and we see a marked improvement in the quality of pitches, more classroom space and a very popular gymnasium.
As for the coaches, they were quality from the very beginning. I used to admire not only the delivery of coaching but also the drive each coach had to help students become better footballers and people. Now, given the opportunity to work with these coaches in a quality football program, it really has opened up my eyes to wanting to better myself and the students I work with.
Teachers and college staff have always set high standards for themselves and it is really starting to pay dividends when you look at the students from an academic perspective. The teachers and staff are really having a great effect on students throughout both primary and high college.
I feel students are starting to realise what a great opportunity they have to be a part of this college. There is always room for improvement and with the dedication I have seen not only on the football pitch but in the classroom as well, those improvements will soon become realities.
It is really an awesome time to be involved with this great college and I look forward to a very bright future with everyone involved.
