As the year comes to a close and we all go our separate ways for the holiday period, it gives us a chance to look back at what we’ve achieved.
The relationships I have formed over the last three terms are a testimony to both the students and staff at CCSC. Of course the students attend our college as it gives them a unique opportunity to better themselves academically and also through their chosen sport, be it football or tennis. To me though, we are shaping them as human beings and it doesn’t matter how talented you are in your chosen domain, if you are not a good person, with good values, then life will always be a little harder. And this is where I can see we are all collectively making a difference. Students of CCSC are very well mannered and polite. They are articulate and engaging and are becoming the respectable young men and women that we hope.
Students learn how to engage with staff who each have varying methods and personalities, which holds them in good stead for future engagements outside the college.
I for one have thoroughly enjoyed my time here and enjoy the greetings and conversations that take place both on the college grounds and at football venues outside the college.
I look forward to strengthening those bonds next year as the students continue on this journey that is life.
Have a great holiday everyone.
